Finalist Beauty Salon of the Year in the Irish Hair & Beauty Awards
Advanced Electrolysis is a precise treatment used to reduce or remove a variety of minor, unwanted skin blemishes and vascular concerns.
At Brighteyes Beauty & Massage in Newbridge, Co. Kildare, I offer Advanced Electrolysis for the treatment of skin tags, milia, blood spots, spider naevi and facial thread veins.
Each treatment begins with an assessment of the area to ensure that the concern is suitable for Advanced Electrolysis. Treatment is carried out carefully and precisely in the privacy of my peaceful, home-based salon.
Skin tags are small, soft areas of raised skin that are extremely common and often develop in places where the skin rubs against skin, clothing or jewellery. They are frequently found around the neck, underarms and other areas of the body.
Although usually harmless, skin tags can become annoying, catch on clothing or simply be something you would prefer not to have.
Advanced Electrolysis can be used to treat suitable skin tags quickly and precisely. Depending on the number and size of the skin tags, more than one appointment may sometimes be required.
Milia are tiny, firm white or cream-coloured bumps that sit just beneath the surface of the skin. They occur when keratin becomes trapped beneath the skin and are particularly common around the eye and cheek area.
Unlike ordinary spots, milia don't have an opening and shouldn't be squeezed at home.
Suitable milia can be professionally treated using a precise technique, helping to safely release and remove the trapped material while minimising unnecessary trauma to the surrounding skin.
Blood spots, often known as cherry angiomas, are small bright-red or purple vascular blemishes that can appear on the face or body. They become increasingly common as we get older and can range from tiny pinpoints to more noticeable raised spots.
Advanced Electrolysis uses controlled energy to target suitable blood spots and reduce their appearance. Some may respond very quickly, while larger or multiple areas can require further treatment.
Spider naevi are small vascular blemishes consisting of a central red spot with tiny blood vessels radiating outwards, giving them their characteristic spider-like appearance.
Advanced Electrolysis can be used to carefully target and reduce the appearance of suitable spider naevi. The number of treatments required will depend on the individual blemish and how it responds.
Thread veins are tiny visible blood vessels that commonly appear around the cheeks, nose and other areas of the face. Although usually harmless, they can become more noticeable over time and may be difficult to disguise with makeup.
At Brighteyes Beauty & Massage, I offer Advanced Electrolysis treatment for suitable thread veins on the face only. The electrical current is applied very precisely along the affected vessel to encourage it to close and become less visible.
Several treatments may be necessary depending on the extent and size of the area.
Not every lump, bump or mark on the skin is suitable for Advanced Electrolysis. I will always assess the area before treatment, and I will not treat any lesion that I am uncertain about. If necessary, I may recommend that you have the area assessed by your GP or another appropriate healthcare professional before proceeding.
Aftercare advice will also be provided to help you look after the treated area while it heals.
If you're unsure whether something can be treated, you're very welcome to get in touch.
