No shaving the day of the procedure to avoid skin irritation. Can shave the day before.
***If you are prone to cold sores, take antiviral agent for 2 days prior to and day of treatment.
***Avoid Blood thinning agents (Aspirin) for 1 week before Micro Needling

WHAT TO EXPECT POST PROCEDURE:
Your skin will be red and may have a scratched appearance. There may be some swelling and may be sensitive to touch. It can sting, itch and may feel tight.
Minor pain and/or discomfort. Elevated warmth & tightness can be expected within the first 1 to 2 hours post treatment.
Temporary redness & swelling, similar to a moderate sunburn one to three days post treatment. Fast recovery is usually seen within 24 hours, with a slight redness remaining the following day.
The skin will feel tight and dry for the first three days post treatment. Some skin might scab three days post treatment โ it should not be touched or picked to avoid any infections.
Day 4-7 post treatment you can notice skin dryness and flaking. This is due to an increased turnover of skin cells. During this period you may return to your regular skincare routine. Wearing SPF is a crucial part of your aftercare.
